Some jewellers like to offer prospective groom’s placeholder, presentation or temporary engagements rings using cubic zirconia. Temporary engagement rings are increasingly popular with would-be grooms who feel they daren’t buy the full engagement ring without their partner’s approval. The placeholder ring can be used to propose to the bride-to-be and then both come back to your jewelry store to pick out the exact engagement ring she wants. If the placeholder ring was sold for say US$100, some jewellers give that investment back as a credit towards a diamond engagement ring.
